My passion for rowing, the continuous desire to improve and refine rowing techniques, as well as the Finnish ‘sisu,’ ensure the continuation of this journey towards the goal. DISCIPLINES

ROWING

In a highly technical and physically demanding form of sport, lightweight boats compete at a distance of 2,000 meters. Rowing is one of the oldest and most traditional forms of sport. It has been part of the Olympic program from the beginning and is highly esteemed worldwide as a university sport.

INDOOR ROWING

Indoor rowing is extremely challenging both mentally and physically. Both training and racing are done by using the Concept 2 indoor rowing machine. Joel is the World Champion (2023) in indoor rowing and holds numerous indoor rowing records. One of the most well-known and notable World Record is the Marathon 42 195m WR: 2:20:06,9 (1:39,6/500m) and also the 100 km World Record: 6:06:06.1, (1:49.8/500m).

COASTAL ROWING

Coastal rowing beach sprint is a new Olympic discipline. Coastal boats are larger and more stable rowing boats, allowing rowing even in significant waves. Unpredictable conditions and fast-paced actions bring an extreme element to the sport, rapidly increasing its popularity. Coastal endurance racing is a coastal rowing competition without designated lanes, making contacts and route selection crucial elements in the sport’s endurance event.

Joel is easy to cheer for! Our competition trip got an extra touch of luxury when we heard that Joel was also joining the Indoor Rowing European Championship in Copenhagen! What a fantastic journey.

The shared journey of Heart2Save and Joel began in an exceptional way, by chance, as good stories often do. Helena Jäntti, the founder of Heart2Save, was conducting resuscitation training for medical students when she noticed one student’s unwavering attitude and focus. This phenomenon repeated in all group sessions, and discussions revealed the full picture of Joel. The combination of arrhythmia recognition, extreme training, and a medical student seemed like such a great fit that Heart2Save decided to support Joel’s journey towards success in the midst of product development. Best of luck, Joel.
